The Dunes

Doing a photoshoot in the Dunes was always something I aspired to do, and visiting the dunes in Gran Canaria i fell in love. The beauty of the sun rising on the sand below me that stretched out for miles around me was so captivating, and i wanted to capture that feeling through these photographs. So, the following morning, I walked for half an hour from the hotel to the centre of the dunes with my model in the early morning, camera in hand. We wanted to tell a story of how beautiful the dunes were, and how the sand was laying naturally and the unique shapes and structures it created. We went for a messy hair look and natural make-up, as well as a beige shirt and blue patterned bikini to compliment the colours of the sand and sky, while also capturing my model feeling free and relaxed to be herself, as noone else was around other than the sand for miles around us.
